Women’s Empowerment and the Zero Discrimination Movement: A Breakfast with Mrs. Lorena Castillo

Seeking to raise awareness on the negative impacts of stigma and discrimination regarding to people suffering from HIV/AIDS, First Lady of the Republic of Panama, Mrs. Lorena Castillo García de Varela, developed the Zero Discrimination Movement, a campaign focused not only on broadening the access to HIV/AIDS prevention and timely diagnosis to difficult-to-access rural areas and to the most remote and vulnerable indigenous communities in Panama, but also on fighting against prejudice and exclusion of this population.

Concordia and Seleni are pleased to host a breakfast with guest of honor Mrs. Lorena Castillo García de Varela, First Lady of the Republic of Panama, UNAIDS Special Ambassador for Latin America, and 2017 Global Impact Leadership Award winner. This event is aimed to discuss on women’s empowerment, as well as the impact of Zero Discrimination Movement.
