Hosted by the US Water Partnership
Co-hosted by Concordia
Held in partnership with Concordia during Global Partnerships Week, this roundtable focuses on private sector water financing in the context of a new U.S. administration. President Trump has said that clean water will be a “top priority” for his administration and that it may be “the most important issue we face as a nation for the next generation.” Advancing water security and attaining water and wastewater-related sustainable development goals requires significant investments in infrastructure, technology, and capacity building. Public utilities and governments themselves are typically unable to meet development finance demands solely through public resources and must attract private sources of financing to meet growing water needs. This roundtable will complement USWP’s engagement with public sector agencies aimed at shaping a coherent, “whole of United States” approach to mobilizing water finance and unlocking solutions in the United States and around the world.
