Zika Leadership Luncheon

  • 1120 19th St NW, Suite 600 Washington, DC 20036 United States

Hosted By: Population Services International (PSI)

Karl Hofmann, President & CEO of Population Services International, and Dr. Marcos A. Espinal, Director of the Department of Communicable Diseases and Health Analysis, from the Pan American Health Organization and World Health Organization host a leadership luncheon on the Zika virus.

The international health emergency declared on February 1, 2016 by the World Health Organization has spurred governments, public health authorities, scientists, international agencies, the private sector and development experts into action. Dr. Espinal will present the latest facts of the outbreak in the Americas and the possible links to microcephaly and Guillain-Barre syndrome. The discussion will center on what is needed to help control its further spread. We hope you can join us for this important lunch as we explore opportunities of partnership and collaboration.
